Positions @ Tranquil Journey Therapy
Pre-Licensed Therapist (1099 Contractor)
Practice: Tranquil Journey Therapy PLLC
Locations: 201 W. 8th St. (Downtown Office)
Schedule: Flexible, Hybrid, and In-Person
Compensation: Tiered ($50 for 1-10 sessions, $60 for 11-20 sessions, & $70 for 21+ sessions)
Position Status: Open
Position Overview
We are seeking a pre-licensed therapist who is passionate about providing high-quality, trauma-informed care. This independent contractor role is ideal for clinicians working toward licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) who want to gain experience in a professional private-practice setting with mentorship, autonomy, and flexibility.
Responsibilities
Provide individual, couples, or family therapy to clients (telehealth and/or in-person).
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in SimplePractice (within 24-48 hours).
Attend weekly supervision (as required for licensure) and optional Friday team happy hour/staffing.
Collaborate with the clinical director and team on client care and professional development.
Uphold ethical and legal standards in accordance with DORA and HIPAA regulations.
Engage in continuing education and professional growth opportunities offered by the practice.
Contribute to a positive, supportive environment that reflects Tranquil Journey Therapy’s mission and values.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or Social Work.
Registered with DORA as a Candidate (LPCC, LSW, or MFTC).
Previous clinical experience preferred but not required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while maintaining connection with the team.
Commitment to trauma-informed, inclusive, and culturally sensitive care.

Practicum or Intern Student (W-2)
Practice: Tranquil Journey Therapy PLLC
Locations: 635 W. Corona Ave. (Mesa Junction Office)
Schedule: In-Person
Compensation: $25.00 per hour
Position Status: Open & Ongoing
Position Overview
We are seeking practicum and internship students who are motivated to learn, grow, and gain hands-on experience in a professional group practice setting. This W-2 position offers students the opportunity to develop their clinical skills through direct client work, supervision, and participation in team collaboration.
Responsibilities
Provide individual, couples, or family therapy under supervision (in-person, telehealth by clinical supervisor approval only).
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in SimplePractice (within 24-48 hours).
Attend weekly supervision (as required for program) and optional Friday team happy hour/staffing.
Collaborate with the clinical supervisor and team on client care and case discussions.
Uphold ethical and legal standards in accordance with DORA, HIPAA, and university requirements.
Engage in continuing education and professional growth opportunities offered by the practice.
Contribute to a positive, supportive environment that reflects Tranquil Journey Therapy’s mission and values.
Qualifications
Enrollment in an accredited Master’s program in Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or Social Work.
Approval from university or program to begin practicum or internship placement.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Professionalism, reliability, and a desire to grow as a clinician.
Commitment to trauma-informed, inclusive, and culturally sensitive care.

W-2 position paid at the contracted student rate.
